Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toniz Collins who is also known as Antonietta Gonzalez-Collins in both the United States as well as Mexico, is an American-Mexican sportscaster. She works as an ESPN news anchor and hosts SportsNation often. Her first assignment with ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bi-lingual and has been so since her age of nine. This skill has helped her get her first position at Univision, Miami. She worked with national producers on programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. She was hired as an reporter at the CBS St. Petersburg affiliate in the following year. Her move into Rio Grande Valley in 2009 as a reporter for one of the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision, as well as Fox2 News. They eventually moved towards Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born in November 1985. Also, she has a younger sibling. In 1992, the family left Mexico for the US and settled in Miami. She divorced her parents soon after and, in 1995, she was married a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died in 2006 of kidney cancer. While on a vacation Antonietta was staying at the home of her sister in Canton Ohio. Her older Collins sister had just landed a new job. At the time of her senior year in high school but knowing exactly what she wanted to do in her future, Antonietta went to her local University of Mount Union to examine if it was a good fit for her preferences. The result was that she enjoyed the university and that the school provided the degree she was looking for. After completing her studies, she was accepted into the University for a master's degree in media studies. Professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM, and was part of her class, formed a lasting relationship with her. Professor Bergmann encouraged her to believe in herself and was deeply moved by his love of journalism.
